About The Event
Never be a victim of Physical, Psychological or Emotional threats and assaults.
Physical assault is comparatively rare compared to psychological and emotional assault.
Psychological and emotional assault happens to many people every day !
It can be in the form of bullying, harassment, or even poor social/management skills.
There is no visible damage, so no sympathy. But the damage can be very real, deep and long lasting. It can impact many aspects of your life including work, relationships and mental health and wellbeing. It can ripple out and effect other people around you. It can have effects for years.
Another cause of psychological and emotional assault is what you say to yourself ! People often beat themselves up and do this consistently. You would never physically assault yourself.
In these seminars, we will be looking at both physical and psychological self defence, learning physical and thinking skills to protect you from the predators out there.
The physical aspects are based on a martial art known as Krav Maga. Krav Maga is is about Self Defence rather than sports or combat. It utilizes instinctive body movements to escape from threatening or dangerous situations. It also covers the Fours D’s of Self defence:
• Don’t go there, using awareness and the body’s intuition to “Avoid” threatening situations
• De-escalate, minimise and reduce the risk of harm.
• Deal with the threat in a physical manner if required.
• Don’t stay there; leave the scene as soon as you are safe and able to do so.
The psychological aspects use information and techniques from Emotional Intelligence, Self Esteem, Assertiveness, Conflict Communication and many other areas of easily understood psychology.
Be safe in all situations.
