About The Event
All night gonging was started by Don Conreaux, the Grand gong master, and introduced in many countries and cities in Europe, Middle east and Asia by San Jay. It has become part of most sound healing retreats but not often offered, as stand alone event. Gong nights or poojama party (pooja is a Sanskrit word for healing prayers) format has been followed by many DJs who run all night slumber parties now a days, that is gaining popularity.
However, a gong night, is a deep healing process where healing waves of gongs are experienced all night like a lullaby soothing and rejuvenating our mind, body and soul. Many of gong bath participants have wished to remain in gong space after the gong bath to continue enjoying the bliss and the deep healing. Gong Pooja is the answer, thought a very few Gong masters are able to hold space all night.
The all night gonging (or gong pooja as its called)will last 5 sleeping cycles of 90 minutes (7.5 hours) and would be a gentle gonging all night (like a lullaby). so everyone gets an opportunity to sleep through (except the leading gong master). Those who wish to play in the night (irrespective of previous gong experience) are welcome to join and play for 30 min during the night. They would be given a 1 hour lesson specifically for night gonging. It is not necessary for participants to volunteer, and they have choice to sleep through (meditate) the night.
Those lovely divine souls are joining for the all night gonging, are invited at 10:00 pm (for 10:30 pm start so to settle their mattress etc). They are highly encouraged to wear WHITE clothes, though any attire that is comfortable is great. Please do bring in a mattress to lie down (we do have limited number at the site), duvet or blanket or sleeping bag and a pillow/cushion (we are not providing any).
